February 28th, 2010: Backcountry Feasts

I'm not sure if I am supposed to use my Whisperlite stove in the vestibule. But with snow on the ground and the wind is howling, I couldn't see why not. Here you can see all the fixings for a veritable backcountry feast: mac & cheese, tuna, canned tomatoes (diced or stewed will work), butter, and Tapatio hot sauce. If you just cringed, I'm not offended. But it truly is delicious and you should try it at home. I'm still deciding on what to call it, Black Canyon Bonanza or Backcountry Besciamella. Of course, I'm always open to other creative suggestions.
