May 30th, 2010: Wet and Heavy

The view from high on the north-facing slopes above Echo Lake provided valuable insight into the varying thickness/hardness of the the lake's icy surface. The openings were growing quickly and the snow on the slopes was turning to slush just as fast.

The South Shore docks won't be hosting boats anytime soon.

My last full day at Echo Lake gave me a few fun turns, some mellow sun time on the deck, and a nearly full moon. It was a magnificent day indeed.
